Welcome to Cancer Driver Catalog !

With the development of next generation–sequencing technology, diversified computational methods based on mutational frequencies, network, and function approaches, have been developed to identify mutational driver genes in the cancer genome. However, the candidate driver genes identified by different software are separately presented, which are inconvenient for general clinicians and researches to obtain the first-hand information of candidate driver genes predicted by different bioinformatics methods. Herein, after evaluating the performance of 12 computational methods using datasets of PCAWG and TCGA, we integrated the genes, corresponding possibility scores, and the rank of gene in the candidate driver gene list predicted by 12 computational methods using 6 network datasets (for network-based methods) across pan-cancer and 36 cancer types in this website. The higher the rank of a gene, the more likely it is to be a real cancer driver. By employing this website, users can conveniently search the candidate driver genes identified by these 12 methods in pan-cancer and 36 cancer types.
